The Best Oral Hygiene Tools to Pack While Traveling

Posted .

If you want to keep your smile in tip-top shape while you are traveling, it’s best to keep up on oral hygiene. However, that’s only possible if you have the right tools with you. So, to help you have the cleanest smile while you travel, our High Desert Dental team recommends that you pack these items before you go:

Travel toothbrush: Don’t forget to pack your travel-sized toothbrush. This item is handy because it is small and it doesn’t take much room in your suitcase. It’s also recommended to pack a toothbrush cover; that way your brush will be protected from germs and bacteria. Just make sure the cover has ventilation characteristics so your brush can dry after you use it.

Travel toothpaste: You obviously can’t brush without toothpaste, so don’t forget your fluoride paste! However, if you are traveling on a plane, please remember that the paste is not allowed on the aircraft if it weighs more than 3.4 ounces. If it’s heavier, it will get confiscated.

Floss: Flossing is a vital part of your oral hygiene routine, so don’t forget to pack your favorite flossing product. This tool is also handy if you ever get food stuck in your teeth. If you floss after each meal, you won’t need to worry about having a food-filled smile for pictures.

Mouthwash: Mouthwash is a great tool to have, especially if you want to maintain a fresh and pristine breath. However, you’re only allowed to pack small rinse containers. If you are traveling on a plane, make sure the rinse does not weigh more than 3.4 ounces.
