There is no clinical different between the two, both have been proven to be equally effective at removing food particles and plaque from between the teeth and gum line. Some people with tight spaces between their teeth often choose waxed dental floss because the waxy coating helps slide the floss between the teeth smoothly and safely.

Many brands offer dental floss with a flavor additive. These flavors have no bearing on the effectiveness of the floss they are simply a matter of personal preference.
